The International Democracy Union warmly welcomes the Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats back into the IDU family. We are pleased to see Lithuania’s leading centre-right force rejoining our global alliance of like-minded parties committed to the values of democracy, freedom, and the rule of law. Under the new leadership of Laurynas Kasčiūnas, the Homeland Union continues to play a vital role in strengthening transatlantic ties, defending democratic institutions, and promoting conservative values both at home and abroad. At a time when our shared principles are being tested around the world, the unity and cooperation of centre-right parties have never been more important. The IDU remains a platform for collaboration, exchange, and solidarity among parties that believe in a free and secure future for all.
