As foreshadowed at the recent IDU Party Leaders Meeting, the APDU is holding a Campaign Seminar in Sydney, Australia on Thursday 14 June 2018. All member parties are welcome to send a delegate or delegates. The seminar will be held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Federal Council of the Liberal Party of Australia. It will be held at the Hilton Sydney Hotel.
The Seminar will give participants a good opportunity to review current developments in election campaigning and to learn from the experiences of other parties and countries. Member parties are encouraged to offer to give a presentation on their most recent campaign or their preparations for the next one. Please let me know as soon as possible if you wish to do this.
Participants are welcome to remain in Sydney to attend the Federal Council and other associated events on Friday 15 June and Saturday 16 June. These will include major addresses by the Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon Malcolm Turnbull MP, and other senior Australian Liberals.
Participants should plan to arrive in Sydney by the evening of Wednesday 13 June and may depart (if staying for Federal Council) from the morning of Sunday 17 June.
Please inform the APDU as soon as possible if your party wishes to send a representative to Sydney via firstname.lastname@example.org
