IDU’s regional organisation in Latin America, the Union of Latin American Parties (UPLA), from November 18th to November 21st 2008 will host a series of events in Santiago, Chile. The events mark the anniversary of the foundation of UPLA, recognizing that spreading centre-right ideas, and to fight for democracy and freedom in Latin America, is more important than ever.

Party Chairmen of UPLA member parties, and Chairmen and leading representatives of IDU member parties also from other regions, are especially invited for this UPLA anniversary meeting.

The program starts with activities directed at youth on November 18th and 19th, continues on November 20th with a program highlighting renowned speakers and the participation of research institutes and key foundations, and will close with a session for political leaders on November 21st.
